SWEET POPPY SHOP . . . WHERE ART MEETS HEART WITH EVERY THOUGHTFUL GIFT

Inspired by a decade of cherished relationships forged two decades ago at a little store called Scribbles, Sweet Poppy Shop is a nod to what was, striving to recreate that same friendly ambiance in an online boutique. 

THE BIRTH OF SWEET POPPY SHOP

Thoughts of reviving the joy, fun and creativity of SCRIBBLES has always been in the back of my mind, and a text from Emily (a former employee) brought our little planning team together and pushed into go-mode. 

. . . .

In December 2023, Emily sent me a text message and a photo of a mug she made for a teacher friend with one of our favorite designs. 

Emily wrote, "I work with a teacher who grew up in Fresno and loved Scribbles, but never got anything from there, so I made this for her for Christmas. I didn't have all the right colors, but it sure brought back a lot of sweet memories."

Carol: "I LOVE IT!!! You made my day! Might be time to start an online store!!

Emily: "Oh, my word, that wold be so fun!!"

Carol:  I wonder . . . "

That text got the ball rolling and six months later Sweet Poppy Shop became a reality.

Between treasured employees and customers who have become lifelong friends, the years between 1996-2008 were truly impactful and rewarding years. With the technology that exists now (that was not around two decades ago) I wondered:

  • Can we bring back the joy, fun and creativity of Scribbles online?
  • Can we create a similar ambiance and relationship with our customers?
  • How can we provide a platform for artists to share their creativity? 
  • How can we give back to the causes that are important to us?

So, WELCOME to SWEET POPPY SHOP!
